Stephanie Crookston

President and Co-Founder

ADACC, CPRP, CATP

As an advocate for inclusive travel and disability empowerment, I’ve spent years traveling with individuals with disabilities across the country and around the world. I’ve seen how transformative it is when someone feels supported enough to walk, roll, and fly into new places with confidence.

During my time with Project SEARCH, I watched many graduates dream of traveling but lack the structure or support to make it possible. After seeing those dreams stall, we created The Travel Crew to open the world to them.

Since then, my team and I have led international trips, navigating airports, sensory needs, accessibility barriers, and the joy of shared adventure. My experience includes travel to Portugal, Spain, Belize, Ireland, Scotland, and cruises through the Caribbean and Alaska. I’m certified as an ADA Coordinator and an Autism Travel Professional, ensuring every trip is grounded in safety, accessibility, and dignity.

My passion is helping people feel seen, capable, and brave enough to explore the world. The Travel Crew exists so every traveler has the chance to experience independence, connection, and possibility.

Megan Quinn

Vice President and Co-Founder

Megan is one of the original idea‑makers behind The Travel Crew, and the organization simply wouldn’t exist without her. For more than a decade, she has poured her creativity, humor, compassion, and belief in people into every program we’ve built together. Known affectionately as “Mama Megan,” she has been a steady source of encouragement, grounding, and joy for our travelers and team alike.

With years of experience supporting young adults with disabilities, Megan brings a unique blend of insight, patience, and fierce advocacy. She helped shape the earliest vision for accessible, meaningful travel-long before The Travel Crew had a name-and continues to influence the heart of our mission today.

Her presence reminds everyone that community, belonging, and genuine care are just as essential to travel as passports and plane tickets. I truly couldn’t do this without her.

One of the original allies behind The Travel Crew, Logan brings a steady, compassionate presence shaped by his work supporting individuals at risk in the ID/DD community and older adults living with dementia. He believes deeply in our mission and shows up with both skill and heart to ensure every traveler feels supported and included.

On trips, Logan has become The Travel Crew’s resident gamer, creating moments of fun, stress relief, and connection when travelers need it most. His commitment, encouragement, and behind‑the‑scenes support help our community walk, roll, and fly with confidence.

Johanna Lewis

For nearly 30 years, Johanna Lewis has dedicated her career to helping students build confidence, independence, and meaningful lives beyond the classroom. Her work as a high school educator has always been grounded in one belief: every individual deserves the opportunity to navigate the world with dignity, purpose, and support.

That belief is deeply personal. Johanna’s oldest son, Bennett, is her greatest inspiration. As a Project SEARCH graduate who now works at UCHealth and a proud member of The Travel Crew. Bennett’s journey has shaped Johanna’s commitment to expanding opportunities for young adults with disabilities, especially when it comes to independence and the ability to experience the world through travel.

Johanna has supported many of her former students in pursuing similar paths, helping them build the skills and confidence to step into adulthood and greater independence. She believes that The Travel Crew is more than a program—it is a community that creates connection, confidence, and a true sense of belonging.

Driven by both professional experience and personal purpose, Johanna is committed to breaking down barriers and helping individuals discover what is possible. She is honored to serve on the executive board and to be part of a movement that opens the world to everyone.
