Our Commitment to Accessibility, Conduct, and Traveler Well-Being
Our Commitment to Accessibility, Conduct, and Support While Traveling
The Travel Crew maintains comprehensive policies to ensure every participant can travel with confidence, dignity, and respect.
Our Accessibility and Mobility Policy addresses mobility aid transport and storage, accessible ground transportation, ADA-compliant lodging with emergency egress plans, activity accessibility ratings, communication and sensory accommodations, and staff training in person-first language and disability awareness. We work with each traveler and caregiver before every trip to create an individualized plan — because inclusion isn't an afterthought, it's our foundation.
Our Behavioral Policy sets clear expectations for all travelers, caregivers, and staff to foster a safe, supportive community. Should any concerns arise during a trip, our team follows a thoughtful, graduated response process — beginning with respectful redirection and individualized support — to ensure every traveler feels safe and valued throughout their experience.
Our Care Provider Policy outlines the roles and responsibilities of caregivers and personal care attendants who accompany travelers. Care providers are expected to maintain open communication with Travel Crew staff, follow individualized care plans, and prioritize the safety, well-being, and independence of the travelers they support. We partner with care providers before, during, and after every trip to ensure a seamless, collaborative travel experience for everyone involved.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
If a traveler requires support needs that go beyond what trained Travel Crew staff are able to provide, a caregiver or support person may attend — but they must complete a separate application and pay for the way, in full. The separate application allows us to fully understand the level of support needed, assess whether those needs fall outside our team’s training or scope, and determine whether the caregiver is the appropriate person to provide that support during an international group trip. The Application Can be Found on the bottom of the page.

We truly appreciate people who want to help. However, for safety, consistency, and liability reasons, only trained members of The Travel Crew team are able to serve as chaperones on our trips.
