Our Board of Directors
Our board brings together lived experience, diverse perspectives, and a shared love of opportunity, travel, and joy. Each member of our board has either traveled with The Travel Crew or supported their own young adult on a Travel Crew journey.
Hannah Scott M.Ed
Tour Logistics and Development CommitteeHannah has spent the last decade helping young adults launch into independence and she makes the transition‑to‑adulthood world feel fun, hopeful, and full of possibility. She’s taught at two Project SEARCH sites (UCHealth and Embassy Suites Nashville SE), supported work‑based learning in high schools, and presented nationally more times than she’ll ever brag about. She’s also collaborated on hospital ethics rounds, helped build innovative programs, and mentored new instructors across districts in Nashville and Williamson County.
As a traveler with cerebral palsy who has explored the world both solo and with groups, Hannah brings a rare combination of personal insight, sharp expertise, and unforgettable humor. She knows exactly what it takes to navigate airports, cities, landscapes, and adventures in ways that honor different mobility styles, and she uses that wisdom to shape every piece of The Travel Crew.
Hannah is one of the OG idea‑makers whose vision helped this whole thing exist. Her belief in accessible, empowering travel continues to guide our mission and remind us why we do what we do.

Johanna Lewis
For nearly 30 years, Johanna Lewis has dedicated her career to helping students build confidence, independence, and meaningful lives beyond the classroom. Her work as a high school educator has always been grounded in one belief: every individual deserves the opportunity to navigate the world with dignity, purpose, and support.
That belief is deeply personal. Johanna’s oldest son, Bennett, is her greatest inspiration. As a Project SEARCH graduate who now works at UCHealth and a proud member of The Travel Crew. Bennett’s journey has shaped Johanna’s commitment to expanding opportunities for young adults with disabilities, especially when it comes to independence and the ability to experience the world through travel.
Johanna has supported many of her former students in pursuing similar paths, helping them build the skills and confidence to step into adulthood and greater independence. She believes that The Travel Crew is more than a program—it is a community that creates connection, confidence, and a true sense of belonging.
Driven by both professional experience and personal purpose, Johanna is committed to breaking down barriers and helping individuals discover what is possible. She is honored to serve on the executive board and to be part of a movement that opens the world to everyone.

Stephanie Crookston
As an advocate for inclusive travel and disability empowerment, I’ve spent years traveling with individuals with disabilities across the country and around the world. I’ve seen how transformative it is when someone feels supported enough to walk, roll, and fly into new places with confidence.
During my time with Project SEARCH, I watched many graduates dream of traveling but lack the structure or support to make it possible. After seeing those dreams stall, we created The Travel Crew to open the world to them.
Since then, my team and I have led international trips, navigating airports, sensory needs, accessibility barriers, and the joy of shared adventure. My experience includes travel to Portugal, Spain, Belize, Ireland, Scotland, and cruises through the Caribbean and Alaska. I’m certified as an ADA Coordinator and an Autism Travel Professional, ensuring every trip is grounded in safety, accessibility, and dignity.
My passion is helping people feel seen, capable, and brave enough to explore the world. The Travel Crew exists so every traveler has the chance to experience independence, connection, and possibility.

Founder and President-
Sue Munro is thrilled to be part of The Travel Crew community. With more than 30 years of experience as a social worker, Sue has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families across a wide range of nonprofit settings. She has a gift for connecting people with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive, and she brings that same passion to her work with The Travel Crew.
Sue’s connection to this mission is also deeply personal. Her daughter, Kate- a proud 22‑year‑old and Project SEARCH graduate- traveled with The Travel Crew to Scotland in 2025. The experience was transformative for Kate, opening her world, building her confidence, and giving her memories she still talks about today. Seeing the impact firsthand is what inspired Sue to join the board.
Sue believes strongly that every traveler deserves the chance to explore the world safely, joyfully, and with the right support. She is honored to help expand these opportunities so more young adults can experience the same life‑changing adventures her daughter did. The Travel Crew is doing extraordinary work, and Sue is proud to contribute to its growth and mission.
